DEAF and REWIRE club night on 18 May

In collaboration with DEAF, REWIRE Festival will bring a night full of cutting-edge club music and experimental beats to DEAF2012. The program is built around experimental rhythms and beat driven dance music. Kangding Ray (Raster-Noton) will bring his mix of glitch, ambient and abstract rhythms to the table, while While Bue Daisy will be rocking the floor with his sidestepping post-dubstep and post-FlyLo textures. Young local lads Torus (Error Broadcast) and Filosofische Stilte (Lowriders) will guarantee you of some suprising fresness. Mr Lowman will nicely warm up with frankly anything he’ll come up with.

Plaid ‘Upgrade’, from their new album ‘Scintilli’ (WARP, 2011).

Plaid is part of Viral Radio’s Radiant Frequencies programme at Rewire Festival in the Hague this Friday 4 November.

Event update: Radiant Frequencies, 4 & 5 November, the Hague.
New genres of electronic dance music follow each other like night follows day. Shifting slowly from one mutation to the next, this electronic momentum moves forward with the speed of the internet, weaving a network of rhythmnodes of varying speeds and colours. From the darkness of dubstep to the lightness of UK funky. From the slowness of hiphop to the uptempo of juke.
Radiant Frequencies is a festival exhibition of cutting-edge musicians building bright synthetic structures of radiating dance music. This the soundtrack of the world of high definition gaming, 3D superheroes and superliminal neutrinos. And with zeitgeist-riders like Rustie, Kuedo and Dorian Concept, it is a who-is-who of the now.

“Every track on Glass Swords is fantastic, the soundtrack to both the most colourful sci-fi film and the best RPG never made, but this isn’t all that makes this album special. The real kicker is that you get the impression that it’s the point Rustie has been building up to for the last five years; an album made in relative isolation, with zero self-consciousness, shame or thought for trend behind it. Glass Swords is something to be enjoyed, first and foremost, but the thought process behind it, you feel, is something to be cherished.” Tam Gunn, FACT Magazine
Rustie will play live at the Radiant Frequencies stage at Rewire Festival on 5 November in the Hague. This programme is compiled by Viral Radio.
