In two weeks another regular Viral Radio will be held at TrouwAmsterdam. This time with our friend from LuckyMe and Warp, Hudson Mohawke. He will be joined by Brainfeeder’s brotha from anotha planet Ras G, our dear friend Mamiko Motto and yours trulies Juha & Cinnaman. 6 November, make sure you don’t miss this.
We are a little late to the party, but you seem to not mind. Tonight is the kickoff of Amsterdam Dance Event. We thought we would do a special Viral Radio. Since we could not make up our minds, we picked a few artists more than usual. Here we go:
22.00 Pete Concrete (Eat Concrete/Den Bosch)
23:00 Knalpot live (Eat Concrete/Amsterdam)
23:45 Aardvarck (Bloom/Amsterdam)
00:00 Bibio live (Warp/Birmingham)
00:45 Aardvarck (Bloom/Amsterdam)
01:00 Clark live (Warp/Berlin)
01:45 Gaslamp Killer (Brainfeeder/Los Angeles)
02.45 Martyn (3024/Washington)
03.45 Juha & Cinnaman (Viral Radio/Amsterdam)
The timetable should be a little bit like this, but you never know how things go in the end. The event will most likely sell out, and there are only 50 tickets left at the door. So make sure you buy your ticket at Concerto or Rush Hour now you still can.
We look forward to seeing you tonight. To get in the mood, listen to our latest shows on VPRO 3voor12 (or download them at Soundcloud).
According to Time Out Amsterdam, Viral Radio is ‘the most cutting-edge event in Amsterdam, hands down.’ The electronic music vehicle of Non-fiction’s Juha van ‘t Zelfde, in close harmony with DJ/producer/Beat Dimensions architect Cinnaman (Yuri Boselie), has been gathering momentum in 2009. The nights have featured lords of the underground Kode9 & the Spaceape, Flying Lotus and Joker, and many more in their slipstream.
The coming month, the carrier of freight train bass weight will present another stellar compendium of contemporary studio explorations:
02 October>> Harmonic 313 and Juha & Cinnaman 21 October >> Knalpot, Gaslamp Killer, Clark, Bibio, Martyn, Aardvarck, Pete Concrete and Juha & Cinnaman 06 November>> Hudson Mohawke, Lorn, Ras G and Juha & Cinnaman
We would like to thank the artists for their participation, TrouwAmsterdam for the inspiring collaboration, and you – the visitor and listener – for your support. We hope to see you tonight.
